HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate the 
4administration, teachers, and students of Neuqua Valley High 
5School on the occasion of being selected as a Grammy Signature 
6Gold School for 2011; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, The Grammy Signature Gold Schools designation 
8recognizes top music education programs at United States public 
9high schools; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, As a Grammy Signature Gold School, Neuqua Valley 
11High School will receive $5,500 to benefit the school's music 
12program; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Neuqua Valley High School has received the Grammy 
14Signature Gold School designation an astounding nine times; in 
15addition, Neuqua Valley's music program was named the top music 
16program in the country in 2005; and

  
 
17    WHEREAS, Neuqua Valley High School will receive the Grammy 
18Signature Gold School award at an event on May 19, 2011; 
19therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

1NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
2we congratulate the administration, teachers, and students of 
3Neuqua Valley High School on the occasion of being selected as 
4a Grammy Signature Gold School for 2011 and wish them continued 
5success and happiness in the future; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to Neuqua Valley High School as a symbol of our 
8esteem and respect.
