HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Kyran Patrick 
4Conarchy of Chicago on his 90th birthday; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, He was the devoted son of Kyran and Jane Conarchy 
6and was a dedicated caregiver to his parents during their later 
7years; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, He has been a resident of Highland Park since 
9moving there in 1949; he is a member and lector of Immaculate 
10Conception Parish in Highland Park; he is a member of the 
11parish Men's group and previously taught high school religious 
12education in the parish; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, He served in the United States Army during World 
14War II; he was an air observer and the Executive Officer of 
15Battery A; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, He received a Bronze Star for aiding his fellow 
17soldiers and continuing to lead his battery of men during an  
18intense battle in March of 1945; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, He was the third oldest of 7 children; he is a 
20beloved and very involved uncle of 42 nieces and nephews and

1many, many grandnieces and grandnephews and even 
2great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews; his birthday will be 
3celebrated on Saturday, May 21, 2011, with a mass and dinner at 
4Immaculate Conception Church in Highland Park; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
6NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
7we congratulate Kyran Conarchy on the occasion of his 90th 
8birthday and also thank him for his service to the United 
9States of America during World War II; and be it further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to Kyran Conarchy as a symbol of our respect and 
12esteem.
