HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate John "Marshall" 
4Mollet of Greenville on receiving the Gerald Turley Award from 
5the Greenville Chamber of Commerce; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Mr. Mollet is receiving the award for his work 
7with the Greenville City Council, where he served as a 
8councilman for 4 years, beginning in 2005; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Mr. Mollet currently serves on the Bond County 
10Building Commission and oversaw the roof and window project at 
11the Bond County Courthouse; he was an original member of the 
12Greenville Tree Committee, and was responsible for planting 500 
13trees; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, He has served as a member of the Bradford National 
15Bank board for the past 35 years; he served 14 years as a 
16member of the Bond County Farm Bureau board, including 3  years 
17as president; and he served as a school board trustee; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, He is a member of the Advancement Committee, which 
19raises money for Greenville Regional Hospital; he was also a 
20member of the hospital board for 12 years; and he is involved 
21with the Meals on Wheels program; and

1    WHEREAS, John Mollet will receive the award at a reception 
2to be held on May 12, 2011; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
5we congratulate John Mollet on receiving the Gerald Turley 
6Award and wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be 
7it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to John Mollet as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
