HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate New Beginnings 
4Ministries of Lake County on its 10th anniversary; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, New Beginnings Ministries of Lake County was 
6founded in March of 2001 by Reverend Marvin Bembry; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Over a 30-year ministerial career, Reverend  
8Bembry has preached to hundreds of thousands of people on four 
9continents of the world, providing hope through the word of the 
10Lord to those in need; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, New Beginnings Ministries had its humble 
12beginnings in the gymnasium of Novak King School in North 
13Chicago, where, for four years, the congregation toiled 
14together in the service of the Lord and many souls were added 
15to the kingdom of God; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, In 2005, the congregation moved to Grayslake; and
 
17    WHEREAS, For the past six years, many people have come to a 
18closer walk with God; God has now opened a new door within 
19central Lake County for the congregation to continue to grow 
20and expand; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we recognize the efforts of Rev. Marvin Bembry and the New 
4Beginnings congregation to bring the word of God to the people 
5of Lake, Cook, and Kenosha Counties; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to Reverend Marvin Bembry as a symbol of our respect 
8and esteem.
