HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Robert Harner on 
4the occasion of his retirement on January 11, 2011, after 36 
5years of dedicated service as a Johnson County Deputy Sheriff; 
6and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Robert Harner was appointed to the position of 
8Deputy under Johnson County Sheriff Elry Faulkner; during his 
9career, he was awarded the Deputy of the Year Award from the 
10Illinois Sheriffs' Association for his work on the case of the 
11young lady who was abducted from a Ramada Limited; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Robert Harner and his loving wife, Theresa, have 
13been married since July of 1968; together, they have 3 
14children, Adam, Cory, and Deanna; and 7 grandchildren; he is 
15also the son of Mary Elizabeth and the brother of Rick Harner 
16and Vickey Swiney; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, A retirement reception was held in honor of Robert 
18Harner on October 2, 2010 during the annual fall Festival at 
19the Vienna City Park, where hundreds of his friends stopped by 
20to visit; and

  
 
21    WHEREAS, Robert Harner serves as a model of hard work,

1integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of 
2Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
5we congratulate Robert Harner on the occasion of his retirement 
6and wish him many happy and healthy retirement years; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to Robert Harner as a symbol of our esteem and 
10respect.
