| 2 | | WHEREAS, Memorial Medical Center in Woodstock and Northern |
| 3 | | Illinois Medical Center in McHenry joined forces in 1995 to |
| 4 | | improve the health care delivery services in the greater |
| 5 | | McHenry County area to become Centegra Health System; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Centegra Health System is comprised of nearly |
| 7 | | 4,000 talented staff and 500 committed volunteers offering a |
| 8 | | wide range of services and is the community's largest employer; |
| 9 | | and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Centegra Health System has been highly ranked as a |
| 11 | | great place to work by Modern Healthcare Magazine; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Centegra Hospital-McHenry and Centegra |
| 13 | | Hospital-Woodstock achieved the 2011 Patient Safety Excellence |
| 14 | | Award which recognizes hospitals performing in the top 5% |
| 15 | | nationally, being among only 12 Illinois hospitals to receive |
| 16 | | this safety award; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Centegra Oncology Services at Centegra |
| 18 | | Hospital-McHenry and Centegra Hospital-Woodstock were among |
| 19 | | only 6 organizations in Illinois to receive the American |
| 20 | | College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer 2010 Outstanding |
| 21 | | Achievement Award recognizing cancer programs that strive for |
|

| 1 | | excellence in providing quality care to cancer patients; and
|
| 2 | | WHEREAS, Centegra Hospital-McHenry and Centegra |
| 3 | | Hospital-Woodstock became Designated Blue Distinction Centers |
| 4 | | for Spine Surgery based on certain selection criteria for |
| 5 | | demonstrating reliability in delivering spine surgery services |
| 6 | | as well as better overall outcomes while maintaining Blue |
| 7 | | Distinction Center for Total Joint Replacements at both |
| 8 | | hospitals; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Centegra Health System has been ranked as one of |
| 10 | | the best nationwide by Modern Healthcare Magazine, Thomson |
| 11 | | Reuters, and HealthGrades, all in evaluations and service; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Most recently, U.S. News & World Report's list of |
| 13 | | Best Metropolitan Hospitals included Centegra |
| 14 | | Hospital-Woodstock; therefore, be it
|
| 15 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 16 | | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 17 | | we recognize the past and ongoing contributions of the staff |
| 18 | | and volunteers of the Centegra Health System to improve the |
| 19 | | health and wellness for the greater McHenry County region; and |
| 20 | | be it further
|
| 21 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
