HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Ralph Niehaus of 
4Hillsboro on receiving the Hillsboro Sertoma Club's Service to 
5Mankind Award; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Ralph Niehaus is a lifelong farmer and is also 
7retired from Graham Correctional Center; he broadcasts on WSMI 
8Radio and is a lay speaker at Ware's Grove Lutheran Church; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Over the years, he has helped various groups with 
10fundraising by sharing his famous pork chops or pork patties; 
11he has helped raise funds for the Pork Producers, the Livestock 
12Feeders, the GOP, the Montgomery County Cancer Association, the 
13Roubaix bike races, and many others; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, He is known for making a difference "one pork chop 
15at a time"; and
  
 
  
16    WHEREAS, He will be honored at the Sertoma Club banquet on 
17April 7, 2011 for making a difference in the Hillsboro 
18community; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
20NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that

1we congratulate Ralph Niehaus on receiving this award and thank 
2him for giving to others throughout the years; and be it
