HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to welcome Lena Dickemann of 
4Germany to the United States and the State of Illinois as part 
5of the 2010-11 Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, She is staying with Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hanna of 
7Murphysboro; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Participants in the program spend 10 months in the 
9United States, living with host families, learning about 
10American society, and teaching Americans about Germany and its 
11people; and

  
 
12    WHEREAS, Lena won special recognition in her country by 
13winning the Congress-Bundestag Scholarship; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Lena is from Oberderdingen, Germany and is 
15sponsored by Axel E. Fischer, a member of the German 
16Parliament; therefore, be it
  
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
18NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
19we welcome Lena Dickemann to the United States and the State of 
20Illinois and wish her the very best while she is here; and be
