HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Tim Milner, owner 
4of WVLI Radio in Kankakee, on his business receiving the 2010 
5Good Neighbor Business of the Year Award; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, WVLI ties the community together by making 
7announcements for various groups about their activities, 
8providing a place for politicians to advertise and express 
9their views, sponsoring many community events, giving away 
10countless prizes, pairing with other businesses to promote the 
11area, recognizing area birthdays with the Birthday Club, adding 
12some humor to the weekdays, making people of the area aware of 
13traffic problems that they can avoid, and letting the people of 
14Kankakee and the surrounding communities know of any 
15emergencies or possible incumbent weather; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Mr. Milner was the co-chairman of the Kankakee 
17County Training Center's 4 Club Tournament on September 23, 
182010 at Oak Springs Golf Club in St. Anne; he is also the 
19president of the Kankakee County Training Center Foundation; 
20and
  
 
21    WHEREAS, Tim Milner is a supporter of many local charities 
22and organizations, including: My Favorite Book,

10Fair, and the Bourbonnais Friendship Festival; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Tim is the proud father of Gene and Alexandra; 
12therefore, be it
  
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
14NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
15we congratulate Tim Milner and offer our best wishes for his 
16continued success in the future; and be it further
  
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
18presented to Tim Milner as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
