HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the 
4River Ridge/Scales Mound Wildcats girls basketball team for 
5their second place finish at the IHSA Class 1A State 
6Tournament; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, After a hard-fought battle, the River 
8Ridge/Scales Mound Wildcats lost to the West Central Cougars 
929-26 and took second place at the IHSA Class 1A State 
10Tournament; the team ended their season with a phenomenal 28-1 
11record, which included a 25-game winning streak; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, The members of the River Ridge/Scales Mound 
13Wildcats are Nikki Dubord, Tori Soat, Ashley Brant, Kaitlyn 
14Pleau, Courtney Busch, Megan Altfillisch, Jen Thoren, Whitney 
15Kieffer, Jessie Albrecht, Johanna Werner, Lauren Winter, and 
16Allison McLane; the team coaches are Brian Wurster, Dave 
17Wiegel, and Jordan Williams; and

  
 
18    WHEREAS, The members of the River Ridge/Scales Mound 
19Wildcats serve as models of hard work, integrity, and 
20dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore,

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we congratulate the members of the River Ridge/Scales Mound 
4Wildcats girls basketball team for their second place finish at 
5the IHSA Class 1A State Tournament and wish them success and 
6happiness in their future endeavors; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the River Ridge/Scales Mound Wildcats girls 
9basketball team as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
