HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Frank Nicholas 
4Busch on the occasion of attaining the coveted rank of Eagle 
5Scout; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Frank Busch recently graduated from Warren 
7Township High School; during high school, he played football 
8and participated in the band; he is currently attending school 
9at the College of Lake County; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Frank Busch has been involved in Scouting since he 
11joined as a Cub Scout in 1999; he crossed over to the Boy 
12Scouts in 2004 after earning his Arrow of Light as a Webelos 
13Scout; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, During his tenure with the Boy Scouts, Frank Busch 
15has earned a total of 33 merit badges and has served as the 
16Troop Quartermaster for five years; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Frank Busch is an Ordeal member of the Order of 
18the Arrow; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Frank Busch has been an active member of his 
20community through his work as the primary worker and Scout

1coordinator for the Blood Drive at St. Gilbert Church in 
2Grayslake; and
 
3    WHEREAS, To achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, Frank Busch 
4planned and built a retaining wall/brick enclosure/raised 
5garden around a memorial flagpole at the new Grayslake 
6Historical Society building in downtown Grayslake; he raised 
7$900 from local service organizations for this effort and was 
8able to get the majority of the materials donated by local 
9businesses; he also coordinated with a variety of Village 
10officials and engineers, in addition to the American Legion and 
11Veterans of Foreign Wars, to satisfy all the building 
12requirements; his project involved over 165 man hours and 
13nearly two dozen volunteers; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Frank Busch serves as a model of hard work, 
15integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of 
16Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
18NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
19we congratulate Frank Nicholas Busch on the occasion of 
20attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout and wish him 
21continued success and happiness in the future; and be it
