HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Marmion Academy Catholic College Preparatory Wrestling Team, the Cadets, on winning five individual State Championships at the Class 2A State Wrestling Finals on February 19, 2011; and

WHEREAS, The mission of the Cadets on that Saturday: to destroy everything in their path; and at the Assembly Hall on the University of Illinois-Champaign campus, that is exactly what happened as the team walked away winning five championship matches; and

WHEREAS, The Headmaster of Marmion Academy is John Milroy; the Dean of Students is Rick Handell; and the Athletic Director is Joe Chivari; and

WHEREAS, The Head Coach of the Cadets Wrestling Team is Dean Branstetter; the Assistant Coaches are Joe Silvestro, Pat Whitford, and Mike Castillo; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Cadets include State Champion Johnny Jimenez in the 103 lb weight class, State Champion Jered Cortez in the 112 lb weight class, State Champion George Fisher in the 119 lb weight class, State Champion Ben Whitford in the 130 lb weight class, State Champion Bryce Brill in the 135 lb weight class, and many other talented and dedicated Cadet wrestlers; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Cadets of Marmion Academy on this impressive series of wins and wish them continued success in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Head Coach Dean Branstetter on behalf of the Cadets, as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
