HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Tanner Crum on 
4winning the Illinois High School Association's Class 1A 
5285-pound State Wrestling Championship, held on February 19, 
62011 at the Assembly Hall on the University of Illinois campus; 
7and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, With Mount Carmel High School, Tanner Crum was a 
94-time State qualifier, where he qualified in 2008, was 2nd in 
10State in his Sophomore season, was 3rd in State in his Junior 
11season, and was State Champion in his Senior season; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, His high school record was 147 wins and 20 losses; 
13107 of his wins were pins; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, He has made the decision to play football at 
15Southern Illinois University starting in the Fall of 2011; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, He credits his coaches, Pat Cheesman and Mike 
17Cheesman for his success as a wrestler; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, His parents, Kevin and Angie, and his brother, 
19Logan, have supported and aided in Tanner's growth, both as an 
20athlete and a student; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we
 congratulate Tanner Crum for his dedication, work ethic, and 
4athletic talents which led to winning the Illinois High School 
5Association Class 1A 285-pound Wrestling State Championship; 
6and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to Tanner Crum as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
