HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Jena Hemann on the 
4occasion of her incredible performance at the IHSA 2010 Girls 
5Class 1A High School State Track and Field Meet; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Jena Hemann placed 1st in the high jump event, the 
7long jump, the triple jump, and the 100-meter dash, becoming 
8only the 5th female in State history and the 2nd female in 
9Class 1A to win 4 events in the same year at the State track 
10meet; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, During the competition, Jena Hemann won her 3rd 
12high jump championship and set a school record in the long jump 
13of 19-3 1/4; in total, she has won 6 State titles and 11 State 
14medals during her career; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Jena Hemann serves as a model of hard work, 
16integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of 
17Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
19NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
20we congratulate Jena Hemann on the occasion of her incredible 
21victory and wish her continued success and happiness in the
