| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Department of Commerce and Economic |
| 5 | | Opportunity Law of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is |
| 6 | | amended by adding Section 605-1015 as follows:

| 7 | | (20 ILCS 605/605-1015 new) |
| 8 | | Sec. 605-1015. Farmers' markets held in convention |
| 9 | | centers. To encourage convention center boards and other public |
| 10 | | or private entities that operate convention centers throughout |
| 11 | | the State to provide convention center space at a reduced rate |
| 12 | | or without charge to local farmers' markets to use the space to |
| 13 | | hold the market when inclement weather prevents holding the |
| 14 | | market at its regular outdoor location. For purposes of this |
| 15 | | Section, "farmers' market has the meaning set forth in the |
| 16 | | Farmers' Market Technology Improvement Program Act.
