| 1 | | AN ACT concerning criminal law.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Criminal Code of 1961 is amended by adding |
| 5 | | Section 11-27 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (720 ILCS 5/11-27 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 11-27. Sexual predator; no custody. |
| 8 | | (a) For the purposes of this Section: |
| 9 | | "Minor" means a person who was under 18 years of age at |
| 10 | | the time of the commission of the offense. |
| 11 | | "Sex offense" has the meaning ascribed to it in Section |
| 12 | | 2 of the Sex Offender Registration Act. |
| 13 | | "Sexual predator" has the meaning ascribed to it in |
| 14 | | Section 2 of the Sex Offender Registration Act. |
| 15 | | (b) It is unlawful for a sexual predator to knowingly |
| 16 | | assume custody or control of a minor who was the victim of the |
| 17 | | sex offense committed by the sexual predator. |
| 18 | | (c) Sentence. A violation of this Section is a Class 4 |
| 19 | | felony.
