AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3275 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3275 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:


 
 
4    "Section 5. The State Finance Act is amended  by adding 
5Sections 5.786 and 6z-87 as follows:
 
6    (30 ILCS 105/5.786 new)
7    Sec. 5.786. The Veterans Traumatic Brain Injury and 
8Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Public Service Announcement 
9Fund.
 
10    (30 ILCS 105/6z-87 new)
11    Sec. 6z-87. The Veterans Traumatic Brain Injury and 
12Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Public Service Announcement 
13Fund; creation. The Veterans Traumatic Brain Injury and 
14Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Public Service Announcement 
15Fund is created as a special fund in the State treasury. The

1Department of Veterans' Affairs may collect  gifts, donations, 
2and charitable contributions from any private individual or 
3entity for the purpose of providing public service 
4announcements to inform veterans of the services and benefits 
5of State and federal laws, including but not limited to the 
6services and benefits available to veterans suffering from 
7traumatic brain injuries or post-traumatic stress disorder. 
8The gifts, donations, and charitable contributions shall be 
9deposited into the Veterans Traumatic Brain Injury and 
10Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Public Service Announcement 
11Fund. All money in the Veterans Traumatic Brain Injury and 
12Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Public Service Announcement 
13Fund shall be used, subject to appropriation by the General 
14Assembly, by the Department of Veterans' Affairs for this 
15purpose.
 
 
16    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
17becoming law.".
