| 4 | | 1, by replacing line 11 on page 1 through line 8 on page 2 with |

| 6 | | "(b) "Dependent" means a dependent as defined in Section 3 |
| 7 | | of the State Employees Group Insurance Act of 1971, provided |
| 8 | | that the dependent meets the definition of "dependent" under |
| 9 | | Section 152 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, determined |
| 10 | | without regard to subdivisions (b)(1), (b)(2), and (d)(1)(B) of |
| 11 | | that Section an eligible individual's spouse or child, as |
| 12 | | defined in Section 152 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. |
| 13 | | "Dependent" includes a party to a civil union, as defined under |
| 14 | | Section 10 of the Illinois Religious Freedom Protection and |
| 15 | | Civil Union Act.".
