<reference>35 ILCS 200/3-70 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>60 ILCS 1/25-30 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>70 ILCS 905/25 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>305 ILCS 5/12-3.1 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>Amends the Property Tax Code. Provides that if the office of Township Assessor is discontinued in Evanston Township, then the City of Evanston shall assume the duties of the Assessor. Amends the Township Code. Provides that the voters of Evanston Township may vote to discontinue township organization. Provides that if township organization is discontinued, then the City of Evanston shall assume all powers, duties, assets, property, liabilities, obligations, and responsibilities of the township. Further provides that upon discontinuance, the office of Township Assessor and Township Supervisor shall also cease, and the City of Evanston shall assume the duties of Assessor and Supervisor. Sets forth procedures for distributing township assets, keeping of records, and the disposal of property. Amends the Public Health District Act. Provides that if the office of Township Assessor is discontinued, then the city council members of the City of Evanston shall be the board of health for the public health district. Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides that upon discontinuance of Evanston Township, the City of Evanston shall provide funds for and administer the specified public aid programs.
