<reference>New Act</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>Creates the Renewable Energy Production District Act. Provides that any area within the boundaries of a single county may be incorporated as a renewable energy production district. Sets forth the procedure for establishing a renewable energy production district. Provides that a board of trustees shall govern a renewable energy production district. Sets forth the appointment, terms, and powers of the board members. Authorizes the board to sell the renewable energy produced by a renewable energy facility. Contains other provisions. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>Senate Floor Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the provisions of the introduced bill with changes. Provides that an area that may incorporate a renewable energy production district must be in a county that includes a municipal electric utility that owns electric generation. Further provides that the Act shall apply only to renewable energy facilities owned, operated, or maintained by or on behalf of a renewable energy production district. Sets forth limitations concerning the taxing authority of the district and certain rights of privately owned facilities. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
