<synopsistitle></synopsistitle>
<reference>725 ILCS 5/110-5</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 38, par. 110-5</aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963. Provides that when a person is charged with an offense for which an action may be commenced against that person under the Domestic Violence: Order of Protection Article of the Code or under the Illinois Domestic Violence Act of 1986 whether or not an order of protection has been issued against that person (rather than a violation of an order of protection), the court shall (rather than may) order the respondent to undergo a risk assessment evaluation conducted by an Illinois Department of Human Services approved partner abuse intervention program provider, pretrial service, probation, or parole agency. Effective January 1, 2013.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
