<synopsistitle></synopsistitle>
<reference>35 ILCS 200/18-185</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>105 ILCS 5/17-2.4a new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the School Code. Provides that the school board of any district with a population of less than 500,000 that participates in a joint agreement for an area vocational education center may levy an annual property tax not to exceed 0.04%. Provides that the rate may be increased upon referendum approval to 0.08% in each eligible district. Provides that the authority to levy the tax expires 4 years after the effective date of the amendatory Act. Contains provisions concerning notice and public hearings. Amends the Property Tax Extension Limitation Law in the Property Tax Code to exempt those extensions from the definition of "aggregate extension". Effective immediately.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
