<reference>720 ILCS 5/Art. 24.7 heading new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>720 ILCS 5/24.7-5 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Provides that it is a Class A misdemeanor to sell etching acid to another person under 18 years of age. Defines "etching acid". Provides that any person, before selling etching acid to a prospective purchaser, must demand and be shown by the prospective purchaser adequate written evidence of the age and identity of the purchaser issued by a federal, state, county, or municipal government, or a subdivision or agency of that government. Provides that a person who knowingly uses etching acid to damage, deface, deform, or destroy the property of another person without the consent of the owner of that property is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
