<reference>410 ILCS 620/3.24 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Illinois Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act. Prohibits the sale, offering for sale, or delivery of an energy drink containing stimulants, including, but not limited to, caffeine, taurine, or guarana to a person under 18 years of age. Provides that the Director of the Department of Public Health is authorized to file a complaint and seek a temporary restraining order or preliminary or permanent injunction restraining the sale, offering for sale, or delivery of an energy drink to a person under 18 years of age.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Committee Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>Replaces everything after the enacting clause with the bill as introduced and the following changes. Defines "energy drink" as any soft drink with a caffeine level of 6 mg or more per ounce. Deletes language referencing caffeine, taurine, and guarana.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
