<reference>30 ILCS 105/5.786 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>625 ILCS 5/3-696 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code and State Finance Act. Provides for the issuance of Sons of the American Legion special license plates. Provides that an applicant shall be charged an additional fee of $15 at original issuance and an additional $10 upon renewal. Provides that $5 of the original issuance fee and renewal fee shall be deposited into the Secretary of State Special License Plate Fund. Provides that $10 of the original issuance fee and $5 of the renewal fee shall be deposited into the Sons of American Legion Scholarship Fund. Creates the Sons of American Legion Scholarship Fund as a special fund in the State treasury. Provides that all moneys in the Sons of the American Legion Scholarship Fund shall, subject to appropriation, be used for grants for scholarships for Illinois residents who are children of members of the Sons of the American Legion and who meet the academic, financial, and other requirements established by the Sons of the American Legion. Provides that all grants must be used at a college or university in Illinois.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
