<reference>65 ILCS 5/11-51-1</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 24, par. 11-51-1</aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning cemetery removal.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Committee Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<reftype>Adds reference to:</reftype><reference>20 ILCS 3440/4.7 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Human Skeletal Remains Protection Act. Provides that if there is a conflict between the provisions of the Illinois Municipal Code concerning cemetery removal and the Human Skeletal Remain Protection Act, the provisions of the Illinois Municipal Code shall prevail. Provides that the changes made by the amendatory Act are declarative of existing law. Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. In provisions authorizing municipalities to remove the remains of all persons interred in a cemetery located within the corporate limits of the municipality, provides that the corporate authorities of the municipality must first obtain the assent of the trustees or other persons having the control or ownership of the cemetery, except if the cemetery has been abandoned. Provides that the changes made by the amendatory Act are declarative of existing law. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
