SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Blanche I. (Hill) Buss of Springfield, 
4who passed away on August 10, 2010; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, She was born on June 22, 1926, the daughter of 
6Floyd and Daisy (Duncan) Wilkens in Grayson County, Kentucky; 
7and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, She married Earnest Hill in February of 1945; he 
9preceded her in death in 1988; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Mrs. Buss was an active member of  the Assembly of 
11God Church in Mason City, Hairdressers Affiliation of Lincoln, 
12and The Kitchen Band of Sangamon Towers; she was a cosmetic 
13dealer for Vivian Woodard, and owned and operated Blanche's 
14Beauty Salon in Greenview; and

  
 
15    WHEREAS, In addition to her husband, she was preceded in 
16death  by her two sisters and one brother; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Blanche Buss is survived by her sons, Jim (Nancy) 
18Hill and Rodger (Pauly) Hill; her five grandchildren and eight 
19great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
3her family and friends, the passing of Blanche Buss; and be it 
4further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Blanche Buss as a symbol of our 
7sincere sympathy.
