| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of Helen C. Favier of Granite City, who |
| 4 |
| passed away on April 2, 2010; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born on May 12, 1919, in St. Louis, |
| 6 |
| Missouri; she loved children and served more than 15 years as a |
| 7 |
| secretary in the library at the Granite City High School; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, She was a long time member of St. Elizabeth |
| 9 |
| Catholic Church in Granite City, where she was active in the |
| 10 |
| Altar Society; she enjoyed being a member of the Daughters of |
| 11 |
| Isabella and the Retired School Secretary Association, and she |
| 12 |
| served many years as an election judge; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald |
| 14 |
| John Favier, whom she married on April 27, 1946, at Sacred |
| 15 |
| Heart Catholic Church in Granite City; her parents, Joseph and |
| 16 |
| Clara Muick; her two grandsons, Jason Goodrich and Cole Fisher; |
| 17 |
| and her three sisters, Sister Mary Marcelline, O.S.U., Margaret |
| 18 |
| Breyer, and Catherine Richardson; and
|
| 19 |
| WHEREAS, Helen Favier is survived by her daughters, Annette |
| 20 |
| (Cecil) Morton and Mary (Lance) Kennerly; her 10 grandchildren, |
| 21 |
| Paul Pulaski, Amy (Ron) Fisher, Shelly (Dan) Hoering, Jennifer |
