| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of John Maurice Gancer of River Forest, who |
| 4 |
| passed away on February 28, 2010; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, John Gancer was a graduate of St. Edmund Grammar |
| 6 |
| School, Oak Park River Forest High School, Boston College, and |
| 7 |
| received an M.B.A. from Indiana University; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, He was a real estate developer and agent with |
| 9 |
| Gagliardo Realty in River Forest; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, John lived life with gusto and had many many great |
| 11 |
| friends and dance partners; he accomplished much in his 50 |
| 12 |
| years and left a lasting legacy among those who knew him; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, John Gancer was the beloved husband of 23 years to |
| 14 |
| Sue (Sullivan); the loving son to Donald Gancer (and the late |
| 15 |
| Mary Jane); he was a fantastic father to Mary Ann, Jack, Henry, |
| 16 |
| and Abby; he was the dearest older brother to Peter (Kate), |
| 17 |
| Julie Downey, Susie (Bill) Lappe, and Stephen (Laura); and he |
| 18 |
| was a devoted uncle to 15 nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
