SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2
    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3
learn of the death of Mary T. Oglesby of Gurnee, who passed 
4
away on November 5, 2009; and
  
 
5
    WHEREAS, She was born on July 23, 1927 in Lake Forest, and 
6
married Verdun "Bud" Oglesby on September 11, 1948 at St. 
7
Mary's Church in Lake Forest; and
  
 
8
    WHEREAS, She retired from Ticor Title Company in 1994 as a 
9
title searcher; she was a member of St. Dismas Church, St. 
10
Dismas Women's Club, the Catholic Women's Club, AARP, the 
11
Ambassador Club, and a former member of the American Business 
12
Women of America; she was also  a former volunteer at the 
13
Veteran's Administration Medical Center in North Chicago, 
14
Victory Memorial Hospital, and Star Hospice at Provena St. 
15
Therese Medical Center; and
  
 
16
    WHEREAS, She enjoyed playing cards and loved to do cross 
17
stitching; and
  
 
18
    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband; and
  
 
19
    WHEREAS, She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Martin) 
20
Paulson; her son, Mark (Maureen); her grandchildren, Matthew,

Kevin, Kaitlin, Elise, Kevin, and Jennifer; her

great-grandchildren, Paige, Brock, Brittany, Ryan, Dustin, and

    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
5
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
6
her family and friends, the passing of Mary Oglesby; and be it 
7
further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9
presented to the family of Mary Oglesby as a symbol of our 
10
sincere sympathy.
