| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of Stanley Peter Skarbalus of Gurnee, who |
| 4 |
| passed away on December 7, 2009; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born March 17, 1942 in Waukegan to Susanne |
| 6 |
| (Yankus) and Peter Skarbalus; he grew up in North Chicago, and |
| 7 |
| attended Holy Family School and North Chicago Community High |
| 8 |
| School, class of 1960; he later joined the Marine Corps |
| 9 |
| Reserves and retired from AirCon Heating and Cooling in |
| 10 |
| Waukegan; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his father, Peter |
| 12 |
| Skarbalus; his sister, Patricia Skarbalus Kempf; and his |
| 13 |
| stepfather, Rudolph Cepon; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Stanley Skarbalus is survived by his wife, Jean |
| 15 |
| Skarbalus; his sons, John (Dawn) Skarbalus and Gregory (Terry) |
| 16 |
| Skarbalus; his stepson, Kurt (Pam) Marth; his mother, Susanne |
| 17 |
| Cepon; and his sister, Mary Anne Jones; his grandchildren, |
| 18 |
| Eleanor, Owen, Sydney, Bailey, and Abigail Skarbalus, and Brett |
| 19 |
| and Emily Marth; there are many nieces and nephews who will |
| 20 |
| miss their "Uncle Butch"; therefore, be it
