AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3707

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3707, AS AMENDED, 
3
with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment No. 
4
1  as follows:

on page 8, by inserting immediately below line 24 the 
6
following:

    "Section 10. The Children's Health Insurance Program Act is 
8
amended  by adding Section 7 as follows:
 
9
    (215 ILCS 106/7 new)
10
    Sec. 7. Income verification. Notwithstanding any other 
11
provision of this Act to the contrary, the Department of 
12
Healthcare and Family Services shall require an applicant for 
13
or recipient of benefits under this Act to supply at least 2 
14
consecutive pay stubs for the purpose of determining the 
15
applicant's or recipient's income eligibility for those

benefits.

    The  Department
shall promulgate rules necessary to 
3
implement the changes made by this amendatory Act of the 96th 
4
General Assembly. The Department shall implement these rules by 
5
January 1, 2012.

    Section 15. The Covering ALL KIDS Health Insurance  Act is 
7
amended  by adding Section 7 as follows:
 
8
    (215 ILCS 170/7 new)
9
    Sec. 7. Income verification. Notwithstanding any other 
10
provision of this Act to the contrary, the Department of 
11
Healthcare and Family Services shall require an applicant for 
12
or recipient of benefits under this Act to supply at least 2 
13
consecutive pay stubs for the purpose of determining the 
14
applicant's or recipient's income eligibility for those 
15
benefits.

    The  Department
shall promulgate rules necessary to 
17
implement the changes made by this amendatory Act of the 96th

General Assembly. The Department shall implement these rules by

Services or the Department of Healthcare and Family Services

shall require an applicant for or recipient of benefits under

this Code to supply at least 2 consecutive pay stubs for the 
8
purpose of determining the applicant's or recipient's income 
9
eligibility for those benefits.

    The  Department
shall promulgate rules necessary to 
11
implement the changes made by this amendatory Act of the 96th 
12
General Assembly. The Department shall implement these rules by 
13
January 1, 2012.".
