HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the 
4Lyons Township High School Lions girls volleyball team on the 
5occasion of winning the IHSA Class 4A State Tournament; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Lyons Township Lions defeated Cary-Grove in a 
7stunning 25-23, 19-25, 25-23 victory at Illinois State's 
8Redbird Arena to secure victory at the IHSA Class 4A State 
9Tournament; the Lions ended their season with a phenomenal 41-1 
10record; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, The members of the Lyons Township Lions are Liz 
12O'Malley, Megan Miller, Sara Bres, Kaley Babich, Eve Hoffman, 
13Julia Watkins, Kelsey Keeve, Kasey O'Malley, Erin Juley, Alyssa 
14Keeve, Alexis Viliunas, Laura Williams, Jocelynn Birks, 
15Stephanie Lewaniak, and Kelly Blank; the team's head coach is 
16Joann Pyritz and the assistant coaches are George Ushela, Lorie 
17Lowey, Dawn Schabacker, and Brad Skendzel; and

  
 
18    WHEREAS, The members of the Lyons Township Lions serve as 
19models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people 
20of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
21    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

1NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
2congratulate the members of the Lyons Township High School 
3Lions girls volleyball team on the occasion of winning the IHSA 
4Class 4A State Tournament and wish them continued success and 
5happiness in the future; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to Lyons Township Lions head coach  Joann Pyritz as a 
8symbol of our esteem and respect.
