HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Illinois State 
4Police Captain Stuart R. Shaver on his retirement, September 
530, 2010; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, He began his career with the Illinois State Police 
7in February of 1985, serving in District 6 in Pontiac; over the 
8years he served in various roles with the Division of 
9Operations, Division of Administration, and the Director's 
10Office, to the assignment of District 10 Commander; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, In addition he served as a Drug Abuse Resistance 
12Education (DARE) Field Coordinator and Training Team 
13Facilitator, made valuable contributions to the Law 
14Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, and was a leader at 
15the Illinois State Police  Academy, Office of Labor Relations, 
16Heartland Resource Support Center, and in Districts 6, 8, and 
1710 during his years of service; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Captain Shaver holds a Bachelor of Science degree 
19in Social Work from Illinois State University; and

  
 
20    WHEREAS, Captain Shaver will be enjoying his retirement 
21along with his wife, Teresa, and his children, Jacob, Nicholas,

1Brandon, and Lyndsay; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
3NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
4congratulate Illinois State Police Captain Stuart Shaver on his 
5retirement, thank him for his years of service to the people of 
6the State of Illinois, and wish him all the best in his future 
7endeavors; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to Captain Stuart Shaver as a symbol of our respect 
10and esteem.
