| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |

| Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the |
| 4 |
| Hinckley-Big Rock women's basketball team on winning the 2010 |
| 5 |
| Class 1A IHSA State basketball championship; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, The Lady Royals beat Jacksonville Routt by a score |
| 7 |
| of 38-32, winning the IHSA State basketball championship at |
| 8 |
| Illinois State's Redbird Arena; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, The Lady Royals were led in scoring by Jenna |
| 10 |
| Thorp, who had a game high 14 points; Tess Godhart was also a |
| 11 |
| key contributor, scoring nine points while grabbing 15 |
| 12 |
| rebounds; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, The Hinckley-Big Rock victory at the IHSA State |
| 14 |
| basketball championship gave the Lady Royals their second State |
| 15 |
| basketball championship in as many years; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, The Lady Royals finished the season with a near |
| 17 |
| perfect record of 33-2; and over the last two championship |
| 18 |
| seasons, they have had a record of 64-5; the seniors have |
| 19 |
| amassed a four-year record of 119-12; and
|
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Hinckley-Big Rock women's |

| Sambrookes; the principal is Jay Brickman; and the |

| superintendent is Dr. Jim Hammack; and

| WHEREAS, The members of the Hinckley-Big Rock women's |

| basketball team serve as models of hard work, integrity, and |
| 11 |
| dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, |

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |

| NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |

| congratulate the members of the Hinckley-Big Rock women's |
| 16 |
| basketball team on winning the Class 1A IHSA State basketball |

| championship and wish them continued success and happiness in |
| 18 |
| the future; and be it further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |

| presented to the Hinckley-Big Rock women's basketball team, |

| along with their coaches, managers, athletic director, |
| 22 |
| principal, and superintendent as a symbol of our esteem and |
