| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Jacob |
| 4 |
| Pugh of Chicago, who passed away on February 16, 2010; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Jacob Pugh was born February 1, 1936 in Grand |
| 6 |
| Junction, Tennessee; he was the son of Coy and Lucille Pugh; |
| 7 |
| and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Jacob was educated in the Tennessee school system |
| 9 |
| and later relocated to Chicago; he served his country as a |
| 10 |
| member of the United States Army; after his honorable discharge |
| 11 |
| from the armed services, Jacob worked at International |
| 12 |
| Harvester; following his Harvester employment, Jacob was |
| 13 |
| employed at his brother-in-law Emmit Petty's Accounting and Tax |
| 14 |
| Service for 18 years; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, Jacob was a quick study and learned the ins and |
| 16 |
| outs of the tax business; he started his own independent tax |
| 17 |
| service and worked at it until his health failed; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents, Coy and |
| 19 |
| Lucille Pugh; his brothers, Robert and James Pugh; and his |
| 20 |
| sister, Alberta Pugh (Lady); and
