HOUSE RESOLUTION


 
2
    WHEREAS, Mundelein High School students, performing as 
3
show choir groups known as The Mundelein Sound and The 
4
Mundelein Lights, have provided outstanding entertainment for 
5
many years to the Mundelein community and to many other 
6
communities nationwide through their participation in Show 
7
Choir choral group competitions; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, Participation in Mundelein High School Show Choir 
9
choral groups has been enthusiastic and an excellent example of 
10
student growth through music and performance education; and

 
11
    WHEREAS, Director John Neubauer and assistant directors 
12
Corey Thompson and Matt Farmer have provided great amounts of 
13
time and effort in an exemplary and tireless manner to train 
14
Mundelein High School Show Choir groups; and

 
15
    WHEREAS, Parents, teachers, and other community members 
16
have been active supporters of the Mundelein High School Show 
17
Choir students, working beside them, traveling with them, and 
18
enthusiastically applauding their success; and

 
19
    WHEREAS, Mundelein High School Show Choir groups have been 
20
recognized for their excellent performances in nationwide 
21
competition for many years; and

    WHEREAS, The Mundelein Sound Show Choir performance was 
2
named the Grand Champion Mixed Show Choir at the 2009 Grand 
3
River National Show Choir Invitational on March 21, 2009; and

 
4
    WHEREAS, The Mundelein Lights Show Choir performance was 
5
named the Grand Champion Women's Show Choir at the 2009 Grand 
6
River National Show Choir Invitational on March 21, 2009; and

 
7
    WHEREAS, The success of the music programs at Mundelein 
8
High School have brought great honor to the State of Illinois 
9
and to Illinois schools; therefore, be it

 
10
    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
11
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
12
recognize the outstanding achievements of the Mundelein High 
13
School Show Choir choral groups and extend our best wishes for 
14
continued success; and be it further

 
15
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
16
presented to Mundelein High School Show Choir Director John 
17
Neubauer as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
