<reference>15 ILCS 335/4</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 124, par. 24</aliasreference><reference>15 ILCS 335/11</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 124, par. 31</aliasreference><reference>625 ILCS 5/2-123</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 2-123</aliasreference><reference>625 ILCS 5/6-110</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 6-110</aliasreference><SynopsisText>Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code and Illinois Identification Card Act to provide that the Secretary of State shall designate on each identification card (driver's license or Illinois identification card) issued a space where the word "veteran", on a distinct background, would be placed at the request of an applicant for an identification card who also presents to the Secretary of State a written confirmation from the Department of Veteran's Affairs that the applicant is a veteran of the United States Armed Forces and was not dishonorably discharged. Provides that the Secretary of State may disclose the applicant's social security number or any associated information obtained from the Social Security Administration without the written request or consent of the individual to the Department of Veterans' Affairs for the purpose of confirming veteran status for qualification for distinct identification cards or veteran special license plates. Effective January 1, 2010.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
