Provides that an individual convicted of an offense involving the illegal possession of cannabis, a controlled, look-a-like, or counterfeit substance, or methamphetamine and sentenced on or after the effective date of the amendatory Act shall be sentenced to probation instead of imprisonment. Provides that the court shall order the individual to receive treatment under the supervision of a program designated by the Department of Human Services for the duration of the individual's probation. Provides that an individual convicted of such an offense and sentenced to a term of imprisonment before the effective date of the amendatory Act may petition the court to have his or her sentence vacated and to be sentenced to probation and treatment and provides for evaluation of the petition.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>Correctional Note (Dept of Corrections)</synopsistitle>
