SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
Iler Beasley of Chicago, who passed away 
4
on November 27, 2008; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Iler Beasley was born on December 13, 1927 in 
6
Drew, Mississippi; he was the youngest of the four children of 
7
Chester and Mattie Beasley; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, Seeking a better life for himself, Iler Beasley 
9
went to live in Chicago at the young age of 17; he lived a quiet 
10
life among his family and friends, who loved and respected him; 
11
and

 
12
    WHEREAS, Iler Beasley retired from the Robert Bosch 
13
Corporation in Broadview in 1991; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, Iler Beasley was preceded in death by his parents 
15
and his brothers, Allen and Leon; and

 
16
    WHEREAS, Iler Beasley is survived by his loving and devoted 
17
wife, Evelyn; his sister, Clara; his children, Barbara 
18
(Melvin), Jimmy, Henry, Patricia (Dunnell), Larry, and Iler 
19
(Steve); his 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and 
20
his many relatives and friends; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 
2
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
3
his family and friends, the passing of Iler Beasley; and be it 
4
further

 
5
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6
presented to the family of Iler Beasley as an expression of our 
7
sympathy.
