| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Township Code is amended by adding Section |
| 5 |
| 200-14b as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (60 ILCS 1/200-14b new) |
| 7 |
| Sec. 200-14b. Technical rescue services. A township that |
| 8 |
| provides fire protection services may fix, charge, and collect |
| 9 |
| reasonable fees for technical rescue services provided by the |
| 10 |
| township. The total amount collected may not exceed the |
| 11 |
| reasonable cost of providing the technical rescue services and |
| 12 |
| may include charges for personnel and equipment costs.

| Section 10. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by |
| 14 |
| adding Section 11-6-6 as follows:

| authorities of a municipality that operates a fire department |
| 18 |
| may fix, charge, and collect reasonable fees for technical |

| rescue services provided by the department. The total amount |
| 20 |
| collected may not exceed the reasonable cost of providing the |
| 21 |
| technical rescue services and may include charges for personnel |
