| AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2297

| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2297 on page 2, by |

| replacing lines 5 through 7 with the following:

| "(b) If a municipality with a population of less than |

| 1,000,000 has never awarded a franchise to a private entity for |
| 6 |
| the collection of waste from non-residential locations, then |
| 7 |
| that municipality may not award such a franchise without"; and

| on page 2, line 15, after the period, by inserting the |
| 9 |
| following:
|

| "At the public hearing, the municipality must disclose and |
| 11 |
| discuss the franchise fee or portion of payment of collection |
| 12 |
| services that it will receive under the proposed franchise."; |
