| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 783 by replacing |

| everything after the enacting clause with the following:

| "Section 5. The Department of Commerce and Economic |

| Opportunity Law of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is |

| amended by adding Section 605-965 as follows:

| (20 ILCS 605/605-965 new)

| Sec. 605-965. Grant award database. The Department shall |
| 9 |
| establish and maintain an electronic searchable database that |
| 10 |
| provides information regarding grants that are awarded by the |
| 11 |
| Department. The database must be available to the public on the |
| 12 |
| Department's Internet website. The database must contain all of |
| 13 |
| the following information with respect to each grant that is |
| 14 |
| awarded by the Department: |
| 15 |
| (1) the name and address of the grantee; |
| 16 |
| (2) the amount of the grant; |
