HOUSE RESOLUTION


 
2
    WHEREAS, On December 6, 2008, the Illinois Osteopathic 
3
Medical Society (IOMS) will be hosting its Presidential Banquet 
4
at the Westin Yorktown Center Hotel in Lombard, at which Dr. 
5
Rodey Wassef, DO, FACOFP, will be honored as the society's 
6
incoming president; and

 
7
    WHEREAS, Dr. Wassef is a board certified family physician 
8
with the Midwest Physicians Center and the Medical Director for 
9
Quality Improvement, Risk Management, and Accreditation at St. 
10
James Hospital and Health Centers in Olympia Fields; she is 
11
also a member of the Board for the Illinois Chapter of the 
12
American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians; and

 
13
    WHEREAS, Dr. Wassef has served as IOMS Treasurer, District 
14
1 Trustee, and as Membership Chair, responsible for the fiscal 
15
health of the Society; she is the IOMS's representative to the 
16
IHA's newly formed physician retention task force, to CMS 
17
Region 5, and to the Illinois Foundation for Quality Health 
18
Care; she has extensive experience with the Healthcare 
19
Facilities Accreditation Program as a physician reviewer and 
20
was named IOMS Physician of the Year in 2004; and

 
21
    WHEREAS, Dr. Wassef is an Associate Professor of Family 
22
Medicine at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and is

a graduate of the Costin Institute for Osteopathic Medical 
2
Educators; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
5
congratulate Dr. Rodey Wassef, DO, FACOFP, on the occasion of 
6
being named President of the Illinois Osteopathic Medical 
7
Society; and be it further

 
8
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9
presented to Dr. Rodey Wassef, DO, FACOFP, as a symbol of our 
10
esteem and respect.
