HOUSE RESOLUTION


 
2
    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of United 
4
States Army Corporal James M. Hale, who was killed in action in 
5
Baghdad, Iraq on August 13, 2008; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, Corporal James M. Hale attended school at 
7
Naperville Central for three years, where he played football; 
8
and

 
9
    WHEREAS, After high school, Corporal James M. Hale joined 
10
the U.S. Army, where he was assigned to the 978th Military 
11
Police Company of the 93rd Military Police Battalion based at 
12
Fort Bliss, Texas; he passed away while he was on his second 
13
tour of duty in Iraq, for which he was posthumously awarded the 
14
Purple Heart; and

 
15
    WHEREAS, Corporal James M. Hale is survived by his wife, 
16
Jessica, and his three children; and

 
17
    WHEREAS, Corporal James M. Hale will be remembered by all 
18
who knew and loved him as a kind, gentle, and generous man 
19
whose dedication to his country, his unit, and his family was 
20
unmatched; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3
mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of United 
4
States Army Corporal James M. Hale; and be it further

 
5
    RESOLVED, That we honor the memory of Corporal James M. 
6
Hale and his willingness to serve his country, which led to him 
7
making the ultimate sacrifice; and be it further
 
8
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9
presented to the family of Corporal James M. Hale as an 
10
expression of our sympathy.
