HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Steeleville 
4
Lady Braves softball team on winning the 2007 Class S State 
5
Softball Championship; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, The Lady Braves defeated the St. Peter and Paul 
7
Lady Falcons with a final score of 7-6 in what was described as 
8
an exciting championship game; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, The Lady Braves ended their season with an 
10
impressive record of 21 wins and only one loss; and

 
11
    WHEREAS, The title was the first for the Junior High Lady 
12
Braves; the team had previously won three out of four 
13
regionals; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, The Head Coach of the Lady Braves is Bill Grafton; 
15
and the Assistant Coach is Bret Gale; and

 
16
    WHEREAS, The members of the Steeleville Lady Braves 
17
softball team are Taylor Grafton, Barbara Cagle, Brooke Woods, 
18
Sherry Farris, Shelly Farris, Morgan Lindner, Brooke Cates, 
19
Audra Schatte, Alex Gale, Elise Quivey, Alex Armstrong, Ali 
20
Bierman, Brianna Husemann, Dakota Ernsting, Brianna Williams,

and Taylor Sutter; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
3
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
4
congratulate the Steeleville Lady Braves on their impressive 
5
victory and winning season; and be it further

 
6
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7
presented to the Lady Braves as a symbol of our respect.
