HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are saddened to  learn of the death of
U.S. Army 
4
Sergeant Andrew Lancaster of Stockton, who was killed in action 
5
in Iraq; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, Sergeant Andrew Lancaster was born in 1984; he 
7
attended Stockton High School before he graduated from Freeport 
8
in 2002; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, Sergeant Andrew Lancaster served with the 1st 
10
Battalion, 30th Infantry Division out of Fort Stewart, Georgia; 
11
he married his high school sweetheart Tabbatha Tillis on 
12
December 19, 2004 before his deployment to Afghanistan with the 
13
173rd Airborne Brigade; and

    WHEREAS, Sergeant Andrew Lancaster will be remembered by 
15
all who knew and loved him, including his wife, Tabbatha; his 
16
parents, Harlan Lancaster and Donna and Steve Vanderheyden; his 
17
brother, Harley; his step-sisters, Jennica and Janessa 
18
Vanderheyden; and his many friends and fellow soldiers; 
19
therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
21
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we

mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of 
2
Sergeant Andrew Lancaster; and be it further

    RESOLVED, That we honor the memory of Sergeant Andrew 
4
Lancaster and  his willingness to serve our country, which led 
5
to him making  the ultimate sacrifice; and be it further
 
6
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7
presented to the family of Sergeant Andrew Lancaster as an 
8
expression of our sympathy.
