| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives are pleased to recognize Anna Kampwerth of |
| 4 |
| Carlyle on her 105th birthday; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Anna was born on February 12, 1902 on a farm in |
| 6 |
| Little York, or Wade Township in Carlyle; her parents were the |
| 7 |
| late Henry and Catherine Voss of Carlyle; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Throughout her life, Anna Kampwerth has seen many |
| 9 |
| changes, from growing up without electricity and indoor |
| 10 |
| plumbing, to raising a family through the Great Depression; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, She met her husband at a church social in |
| 12 |
| Beckemeyer; on April 22, 1922 Anna and Herman Kampwerth were |
| 13 |
| married at St. Mary's Church in Carlyle; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Together they were the parents of four girls and |
| 15 |
| two boys, Leonard, the late Maurice, Alice, Delores, the late |
| 16 |
| Evelyn, and Sister Anne Marie, PHJC; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, In April of 1972 the Kampwerth's celebrated their |
| 18 |
| 50th wedding anniversary; together with over 60 members of her |
| 19 |
| family present, Anna Kampwerth celebrated her 105th birthday on |
| 20 |
| Sunday, February 11, 2007; therefore, be it
