<reference>40 ILCS 5/9-156.1 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>30 ILCS 805/8.32 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>Amends the Cook County Article of the Illinois Pension Code. Provides that a county corrections officer who suffers a heart attack or stroke as a result of the performance and discharge of his or her duty as a county corrections officer shall be considered as having been injured in an act of duty and shall be eligible for benefits. Amends the State Mandates Act to require implementation without reimbursement. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
