<synopsistitle></synopsistitle>
<reference>735 ILCS 5/15-1701</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 110, par. 15-1701</aliasreference><SynopsisText>Amends the Code of Civil Procedure. Provides that in a mortgage foreclosure proceeding, where a timely written notice concerning rent payment was not given to the tenant, or where the tenant makes a good-faith effort to keep current in the rent, an order of possession must allow the tenant to retain possession under the lease. Provides that no mortgagee-in-possession, receiver or holder of a deed or certificate of sale, or purchaser shall file a forcible entry and detainer action against a tenant of mortgaged real estate until 90 days after a notice of the intent to file that action is served on the tenant. Provides that the court records relating to a supplemental petition for possession against a tenant who is current on rent or who made good faith efforts to pay the rent shall be ordered sealed, except as to a law enforcement officer or a government entity.
